He received the Grand Prize (Highest Honor) in the Wood Carving Division at the Gwangju Metropolitan City Fine Arts Exhibition in 2021. He was appointed as an Invited Director for the Wood Carving Division of the Gwangju Metropolitan City Fine Arts Exhibition in 2021. He was designated a Recommended Artist for the Wood Carving Division of the Suncheon City Fine Arts Exhibition in 2020, the Gwangju Metropolitan City Fine Arts Exhibition in 2023, and the Jeollanam-do Fine Arts Exhibition in 2023. He co-edited and published the book Searching for the Cultural Heritage of Namdo (Southern Regions) in 2008.
