He graduated from Gyeongsang National University. He obtained his Baker's Certification in 1990 and received a Commendation from the Korea Confectionery Association. He opened Pastel Bakery in 2004. In 2005, he developed Whole Wheat Brown Rice Bread (known for being good for diabetes and dieting). In 2016, he obtained certifications as a Natural Vinegar Utilization Management Instructor and a Natural Food Fermentation Professional Instructor. He opened a Whole Wheat Brown Rice Bread Bakery in 2023.
