He has received multiple awards, including a Special Selection at the Grand Prize Traditional Fine Arts Exhibition of the Republic of Korea. He received the Excellence Award and Minister's Award at the Korea Land, Infrastructure and Transport International Culture and Arts Exhibition. He won a Special Selection and the Gaecheon Art Award at the Gaecheon Art Grand Prize Exhibition. He is a Recommended Artist for the Grand Prize Traditional Fine Arts Exhibition of the Republic of Korea. He serves as the Advisory Committee Chairman for the Korea Land, Infrastructure and Transport International Culture and Arts Exhibition and the Operation Committee Chairman for the Gyeongnam Chapter of the Korea Contemporary Artists Federation. He is an Emeritus Professor at Gyeongsang National University.
