He has held 27 solo exhibitions and was notably featured in the Cheong Wa Dae (Blue House) Invitational Exhibition with the collection The Story of Seolhwa (Folk Tales). He successfully held the Kang Jongrae: Idea and Transformation 50th Invitational Exhibition and published an accompanying art book. He is the recipient of the Proud Artist Award and was invited to the International Ink Art Biennale Invitational Exhibition. He served as the Head of the Judging Committee for the entire Representational Section of the Grand Prize Art Exhibition of the Republic of Korea and as the Chairman of the Munshin Art Award Judging Committee. He received the Grand Mugunghwa Prize of the Republic of Korea (Art Sector).
