He is the recipient of the Han-Seo Culture and Arts Person Grand Prize and the Artist of the Year Award. He was honored with the Figure for Shining the Republic of Korea Grand Prize in 2016. He received the Busan Metropolitan City Mayor's Award for Buddhist Art in 2019 and the Seoul Metropolitan Council Grand Prize in 2018. He won the Grand Prize at the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics Celebration Culture and Arts Festival (hosted by the Federation of Korean Arts and Culture Organizations, YeChong) and a Service Award at the same festival. He is also the recipient of the Korean Painting Grand Prize from the Korea Culture and Arts Newspaper.
