He graduated from the Department of Painting at Yeungnam University College of Education and its Graduate School. He has served as an Operation Committee Member and Judge for the Grand Prize Art Exhibition of the Republic of Korea. He was recognized as a 1st International Master Hand (1st International Master) in the Visual Arts Division. He has served as an Invited Artist, Operation Committee Member, and Head of the Judging Committee for the Gyeongbuk, Daegu, Silla, and Jeongsu Fine Arts Exhibitions. He is the recipient of the Gyeongbuk Fine Arts Exhibition Special Invited Artist Award and the Daegu Fine Arts Exhibition Invited Artist Award. He holds the title of Advanced Artist (Senior Fine Artist) from the Oriental Art Promotion Association in Shandong Province, China.
